Good battery sale tip!
Thanks to Dave, KB3FXI, and the Skyview mailing list for this tip.
I just got my FT-817 QRP rig the other day. What a nice radio and fantastic
receive!
Anyway, I was at Radio Shack in Waterworks Mall today and they have
9.6v/1600 mAh RC battery packs on clearance for $9.99. The pack is the same
configuration as the FNB85 which is selling for $69.99 on AES right now.
The only thing is the connector is different, but I'm hoping to find those
somewhere, or just use the connector off the AA pack that comes with the
radio.
The RS part number for the RC battery pack is 23-331 and I think they still
had 3 or 4 left.
